Coverage & Superbills

Insurance & Reimbursement

In-network plans accepted:

  • Premera Blue Cross
  • LifeWise Health Plan of Washington

Your sessions are covered based on your plan’s specific copay or deductible structure. During your free 15-minute consultation, I’ll collect your Premera or LifeWise member details to verify your exact coverage before your first full session.

All other carriers: I provide automatic monthly Superbills (itemized receipts) you can submit to your PPO plan for out-of-network reimbursement.

HSA/FSA & Payment Methods

Therapy is a qualified medical expense, so HSA and FSA cards can be used directly for session fees. Credit and debit cards are also accepted, and payment is handled securely through my client portal at the time of service. Keep your monthly superbills as documentation for your plan administrator.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the total expected cost of your non-emergency care, including psychotherapy sessions. You will receive an estimate before starting services and at any point upon request. For more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • No insurance session caps or externally imposed treatment limits
  • Care planned around your goals, not a plan's authorization schedule
  • Longer or more frequent sessions available when clinically useful

How billing works — both paths

Select a step to see the details for in-network and private-pay clients.

Step 1 detail

If you have Premera Blue Cross or LifeWise Health Plan of Washington, we verify your benefits in advance and you simply pay your plan's standard copay. If you have another carrier, call the member services number on your card and ask about your out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits, deductible, and reimbursement rate for CPT code 90837.

Estimate Your Out-of-Network Cost

Most PPO insurance plans reimburse 50% to 80% of session costs via superbills after your deductible is met.

Your deductible is what you pay out of pocket each year before out-of-network benefits begin. Call your insurer and ask how much of it has been met.

Deductible already met — no sessions needed.

70%

Typical PPO out-of-network rates fall between 50% and 80%.
